Building Envelope Testing and Design Recommendations.
At SFC, we are experts at conducting peer reviews of building envelope design and assisting with ensuring the continuity of waterproofing and air barrier are maintained. In addition we can provide recommendations and specifications for the products to ensure your waterproofing provides the intended protection and durability. Our deliverable includes marked up construction drawings with notes and isometric drawings that show the step by step process at critical design elements. We always recommend that a building envelope review is accompanied by a mechanical system peer review as well.

Post installation and/or during the mock-up phase, SFC can conduct water testing in accordance with the guidelines provided within the ASTM E 1105 "Standard Test Method for Field Determination of Water Penetration of Installed Exterior Windows, Skylights, Doors, and Curtain Walls, by Uniform or Cyclic Static Air Pressure Difference" and/or AAMA 501.2 "Quality Assurance and Diagnostic Water Leakage Field Check of Installed Storefronts, Curtain Walls and Sloped Glazing Systems."
HVAC Performance Evaluation
At SFC, our knowledge of mechanical system performance is world class. Understanding building pressurization, air infiltration and the need for the mechanical system and building envelope to perform together is our everyday practice. We provide pre and/or mid-construction peer review services, post startup troubleshooting, performance evaluation during and post construction, and mechanical equipment installation verification.
